Day 3 - Cottonwood Canyon/Box Canyon - an alternate perspective
Bob K (Koly our Illustrious Web-Master) was the Trail Leader with Steve T Tail Gunning. There were 9 vehicles: 8 Rovers and 1"Other".
Bob led us up Cottonwood Creek which was more challenging than Cottonwood Canyon. We turned East at the Ajax Mine Road intersection and bypassed "The Waterfall". From there we turned off the main trail and went over "The Dragon-Backs". That was challenging and scenic. Descending into the wash below, it was time for lunch. Next it was through the slot portion of Box Canyon itself. The usual Sunday drivers! The end of the 2011 AZLRO Land Rover Rally - what a great time. I must say that the ladies drove very well - keep it up.
