Copperstate 4 Wheelers: Four Peaks Cleanup

A cold, rainy morning found a contingent of AZLRO members out on the trail. This time, it wasn’t for a trail run, but a trail cleanup.

The annual Copper State 4 WheelAll told, 94 volunteers showed up at the 4 Peaks staging area just off Hwy 87 on a dark 8am morning, with threatening clouds and a lot of positive attitudes.

AZLRO made an entrance by showing up with 8 vehicles and 13 volunteers to tackle part of the cleanup. AZLRO picked out a spot on the W side of 87, and with the echo of high-caliber weapons being fired in the distance, the club managed to clean up at least 5 full-sized ATV trailers worth of garbage.

Brief write-up from Chad at Copperstate Four Wheelers via Facebook:

Riding Arizona, Copperstate Cruisers, Offroad passport, Nissan 4 Wheelers, Swanky, Az NAXJA, ASU Baja, Hunter Offroad, Mesa 4 Wheelers, Yotatech, Hummer 4×4 offroad, Tral, Rockstars MC, AZLRO, Expeditioneers, AZFJ, Wells Fargo Bank, AZXC, AZ ATV riders, Xoskel, and AZVJC.

Although I do not have the total weight of all the trash volunteers picked up, we managed to fill 2 60 yard roll off dumpsters!! Thank you all and we’ll see you next year! Chad.
