I have done some investigating on the recall for the 1993-1997 Disco’s that I would like to share with the group. Yesterday, I called Royal LR here in Tucson to schedule an appointment for the fuel tank to be replaced, and Michael Ray in the service department said that they are doing inspections to determine if the tanks need to be replaced or not. I also called Scottsdale LR and got the same answer; they will inspect and then replace if necessary.

The club newsletter, Club Leaks has finally returned, thanks to Jeffry Scott. The four page, hi-rez pdf file is available in the ‘about’ section of the site. – Download it from the newsletter page.
Slated to open Monday, January 10th. After getting settled they will have a grand opening with the Land Rover and Jaguar clubs being invited to participate.
Motor Trend, the world’s number one automotive authority and part of the Primedia Consumer Automotive Group, today announced the selection of the Land Rover LR3 as Motor Trend’s 2005 Sport/Utility of the Year. – Motor Trend Article
I’ve added a new feature under the ‘adventures’ section – you can now add your own trail report to past adventures. Like the ‘add your own adventure’ form, new entries go into a queue to be approved prior to their being made public. Check out the Add a Trail Report page.
Submitted by J. Shotts. See the new LR3 perform a river crossing, travel through some muddy terrain, and twist up the suspension a bit. Impressive? You be the judge. – To the videos!
The photo gallery has now been fully integrated into the site. This solves several problems – the gallery now contains the main site navigation, keeps a consistent look and feel throughout the site, and the gallery is no longer launched in a seperate window.
Yes it is official. As of Jan 2005 there will be a main LR dealership at The Auto Mall. It will be a combined Jaguar/Land Rover Facility built specifically for both marques. Have been missing meetings and dues, but will rectify soon. Yours sincerely. Mike Ray, Jaguar service tech, soon to be Land Rover service writer.
At the request of Leo, I’ve updated the ‘Adventures’ section of the site. You can now list only ‘club meetings’, ‘trail runs’, or all upcoming events depending on your preference. enjoy!
