JEFFREY LANUEZ jlanuez@mac.com As a 15-year member that has sat back and enjoyed many trail runs, I recognize the hard work that it takes our leadership to maintain this club and put on the many high-quality events. From the monthly trail runs, to the social dinners, and annual larger scale events, now I understand how much work goes into everything the club does for its members and I’d like to help by serving on the Council. Two years ago I took the Trail Leader Training and began hosting trail runs for the club. We also joined a few overnight trips and have really enjoyed the comradery of the members spending time together on the trail and around the fire. I have grown in my skills in group leadership, hospitality, off-road driving skills, spotting, off-road navigation, recovery, basic first aid, and even camping! My interests in joining the Council are inclusion of all club members in our trail runs and events, growing the club’s paid membership, growing member participation in trail runs and events, promoting the use of HAM radio as the club’s method of off-road communication, helping create unique club offerings (educational classes, trail runs, trips, etc.) and representing/growing our membership in Southern AZ.
