The photo gallery has now been fully integrated into the site. This solves several problems - the gallery now contains the main site navigation, keeps a consistent look and feel throughout the site, and the gallery is no longer launched in a seperate window.

Yes it is official. As of Jan 2005 there will be a main LR dealership at The Auto Mall. It will be a combined Jaguar/Land Rover Facility built specifically for both marques. Have been missing meetings and dues, but will rectify soon. Yours sincerely. Mike Ray, Jaguar service tech, soon to be Land Rover service writer.

At the request of Leo, I've updated the 'Adventures' section of the site. You can now list only 'club meetings', 'trail runs', or all upcoming events depending on your preference.

For those of you with 99-04 Disco IIs, you might find this interesting.

LRNA is apparently going to be putting out a recall on the ABS modulator valve covers and bolts. http://www.c-s-group.com/download/absrecall.pdf.

This is what I had happen to me back in September or so. Trust me, it was not fun trying to limp the truck to the dealer.

I found my old archives from the azlro.org version 2 site, and was able to fill in a bunch of missing data from many of the old trips. Also added were a lot of additional pictures to those old events.

  • More Sponsors are signed up than in previous years
  • More vendors are coming than in previous years
  • A Twist Off event for Land Rover Owners to compare their suspension performance has been confirmed.

You are required to register, and many of the services have subscriptions costs, but recall information and other technical bulletins are free.

Adventure Team Challenge 2004 will take place the week of May 31 - June 1, 2004. The week-long competition rally is designed to give Land Rover clubs the opportunity to have a representative team test their driving, navigation, and endurance skills against other Land Rover Clubs in the United States and Canada. The winning team earns the title as the North American Land Rover Club Rally Champions

Yes, now members can add their upcoming adventures and events to the club web site. Using the new add your own adventure page, members can now directly contribute their events, enhancing an already robust section where we try to spend most of our time - on the trail.

By AUTOWEEK Land Rover dropping Discovery name in U.S.

Land Rover has discovered that, at least in the United States, its Discovery name doesn't carry the same go-anywhere meaning and brand value as it does in other parts of the world. As a result, when the all-new, next-generation Discovery SUV arrives on these shores late this year, its Stateside moniker will be Land Rover LR3. Discovery will continue as a nameplate elsewhere in the world where Land Rovers are sold, but in the States the company plans to focus more attention on the established Land Rover marque than on the vehicle's nameplate.

The new gallery is completed, with all the old photos entered, and some new ones from a couple club contributors as well. This tool should really help to grow the entire photos section, as it is very easy for anyone to add photos once I've created an account for that person.
