2013 Fountain Hills Thanksgiving Day Parade

5 years 2 days ago #7145 by douglawyer@gmail.com
Wake up early Thanksgiving Day morning and come join the club in Fountain Hills as we outfit our Rovers with all the gear to show parade-goers how we enjoy our past time. We will gather near the fountain between 7 and 8 AM and then caravan as a group as we wind through the streets of Fountain Hills. This event is well attended by thousands of Fountain Hills families and their holiday guests.

Afterwards, if you have time, join Doug and Rachel Lawyer at their house for a light brunch and mimosas.

Don't miss this event as it's a great time to show off your Rover no matter how clean or dirty, new or old, or stock or accessorized it is!

Please sign up at the events page if you can attend: http://www.azlro.org/events-main-menu/d ... day-parade

Awesome! I think I'll paint my Hunter like a big ol' turkey. Hope it doesn't rain!

Hey everyone....we need lots more signed up on the events page to make this happen. I've committed to 10 rigs so please sign up if you're going. Should be wrapped up by 10 AM if not coming over for brunch. Thanks, Doug

I didn't have time to make the paper mache turkey legs I was going to attach to the side of my RRC. Maybe next year! I'll still be there though!

Cody will be busy in the parade with other obligations and Rachel wants to stay home, so probably just the Great Divide for me. But I think we're good. Make sure and load up the roof racks and get them dirty if you want.

We could do a recovery theme and tow one of the other ones thru the parade....maybe we can get our hands on a Jeep and a Hummer....

Doug,
Thanks again for organizing this event. My daughter and I had a great time spending the morning with everybody that came out and we enjoyed participating in the parade. Nice job!

Plan on it! I've been emailing Doug to remind him to make sure to submit the paperwork for us. We'll be in it again! Start making paper mache turkey legs for the side of your Land Rover!
