Event Description

I will have a number of guests from out of State and Country coming in for my Birthday events over the weekend in October.
There are several events planned to keep them entertained. What better way to enjoy the beauty of Arizona than an outing in a Land Rover!
I am hoping some of you will volunteer to take a passenger or two.
I have chosen this trail because on the Dragonbacks my guests will get great scenic views and driving through the slot canyon itself will be a totally new and awesome experience for them.

I HAVE CHANGED THE MEETING PLACE TO BE THE DOBSON RANCH INN (Dobson Rd & US60) where some of my guests are staying. Meet at 9:00 am for a 9:30 am departure. We will stop off at the Shell Station in Gold Canyon to fill up around 10:00 am.

There will be around 12 guests who would like a ride.

Tucson people would probably want to meet at the Chevron Station in North Florence, then coordinate to meet at the flagpole.

AFTERWARDS!! There will be an afterwards at my house for food and drink. 1540 W Kiowa Ave, Mesa, 85202. (Dobson & Baseline). I am also very close to the 60 & 101 freeways.

Venue Description

A unique and scenic drive through a narrow, steep-walled canyon. Once in the canyon, there are several moderate-size rocks to get over. Stock SUVs with good ground clearance should be okay. It is a good idea to be spotted through the tough spots. You may bottom out occasionally but damage is unlikely. Stay off this trail if rain is expected, the canyon is extremely dangerous when flooded.
