Category:
Trail Runs (Unofficial)
Event Custom Field 1:

Event Description

The Mojave Road was one of the ways you traveled to Arizona Territory if the Army sent you there in the 1870s. It was a wagon road between Los Angeles and Prescott. For the last decade, many Land Rover Owners from California, Nevada, and Arizona have done a 3 day 2 night trip over the New Year's holiday along the section in the Mojave National Preserve, starting at the Colorado River near Bullhead and ending at I-15. We will start the run on the morning of Sunday, the 30th spending the nights of the 30th & 31st camping and being at the end of the trail around noonish on the first. The trail is easy, scenic and since we hit camp sites early, the trips are more social than most. Please let James Howard know if you would like to participate. So far there are 6 vehicles planning to go. More info can be found here: http://www.desertusa.com/mag99/nov/stories/mojavetrail.html
